Metal Building - Steel Building framing kits include:

( Steel Buildings, Metal Buildings, Steel Garages, Steel Barns, Steel Stables, Steel Boat House)

Metal buildings have options for roofing, siding, trim, doors, and windows. Designed to be sheathed with your choice of steel, wood, shingles, or any other choice you desire.

  • Structural plans
    (optional stamped version for your jurisdiction available, $500 charges apply)
  • Overhead door, man door, and window openings Framing package for your own windows and doors - Windows & doors not included, available for purchase
  • Complete structure including Post & Beam Framing
  • Foundation Post saddles for install when you pour your concrete footings
  • Rafters and or Trusses (as applicable)
  • Wall Girts
  • Roof, eve purlins
  • Kelly screws, strapping, brackets, post saddles
  • Instruction Guide

Garden Shed framing kit includes:

Inclusions resemble steel buildings above, however they do not include stamped engineered drawing option as they are considered portable temp metal buildings, steel structures.

Stamped engineered plans for your jurisdiction is available for our larger units, if your permit department requires stamped plans, $500 charge applies.

DIY Prefab Framing Kits include the following:

  1. Stamped Structural Plans for the framing kit and shell – wall structures and roof only (for details click here)
  2. Assembly drawings for the assembly of wall panels and trusses
  3. Galvanized Steel Stud wall framing for all interior and exterior walls as shown on plans including:
    • Door jambs and headers.
    • Window jambs, headers, and sills.
    • Diagonal bracing (if required) is part-marked, pre-cut for required wall sections
    • An assembly diagram for each wall section identifying the location of each part-marked component in the section assembly.
    • All self-drilling screws, and angle clips required for assembly of the building frame.
  4. Galvanized Steel Stud Roof framing (if used and included in sales order)
    • Steel Roof Truss or rafter System ready for assembly as one or more sections ready for final assembly onsite by client.
    • Blocking is part-marked, and pre-cut for easy assembly between rafters onsite by client
    • An assembly diagram for each roof section identifying the location of each part-marked component in the section assembly.
    • All self-drilling screws, and angle clips required for assembly of the building frame.

Optional materials that may be ordered with framing kit for delivery to clients site (charges apply)

  • OSB/Plywood or other sheathing
  • Metal Roofing or shingles
  • Siding - Vinyl, Steel, Wood, etc
  • Steel Floor Joists

What do you provide?

  10. Though these are sold as DIY (Do It Yourself) kits, you will most likely will be required to use licensed trades in your municipality for  excavation, engineering, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and septic/sewer connections. Check with your local building/permitting department before purchasing any plans and or kits.

MODULAR, MOBILE, TINY, PARK MODEL Complete Homes - Products include:

Standard Items in Completed Homes are per Vendor specifications listed below – any changes to said Standards and or any addition of customized items to the list will incur additional charges. There are no credits for items removed from the list - any credit awarded is at Manufacturers sole discretion.

1) Modular Homes CSA A277
Modular Homes built to exceed CSA A277 Standard – Ready for shipment & placement onto your footings or foundation as applicable. For details about what type of Architectural and Structural plans are included in each package Please Click Here

2) Manufactured Homes (Mobile Home) (Tiny Home may qualify under this category) On Chassis CSA Z240MH
Mobile Homes built to exceed CSA Z240MH Standard – On mobile chassis for use on chassis or for placement on your footings or foundation as applicable and connected to your site services. Able to connect two units together for what is commonly referred to as a double-wide.

3) Park Model Homes CSA Z241
Park Model (Tiny Homes) built to exceed CSA Z241 Standard – On a towable mobile chassis built for placement on your footings or foundation as applicable, capable of being connected to your site services. Most often found in a seasonal recreational park but insulated for year round use.

4) RV Recreational Vehicle (Tiny Home may qualify under this category) CSA Z240RV
RV Trailer Homes (Tiny Homes) built to exceed CSA Z240RV Standard – On a towable mobile chassis without any special permits, capable of being connected to your site services. Most often found in a seasonal recreational parks and campgrounds but insulated for year round use. 

 

Items not included in MSRP:

  • All site work and any and all city service connections (i.e. Hydro, Water, Sewer..)
  • Permits, materials, labor, and equipment for complete septic system if applicable
  • Entrance permit if applicable
  • Building permits
  • Development fees if applicable
  • Hydro service and connection fees including wire, poles, and all of your electricity service provider’s charges (client responsible to bring power to your building/lot)
  • Pressure system complete
  • Supply and removal of fill
  • Tree clearing and grubbing
  • Lot and HST
  • Foundation
  • Rock excavation
  • Real estate commission
  • Fine grading, topsoil, landscaping, seeding, or sod work
  • Road cuts and lot servicing
  • Paved driveway
  • Conservation authority permit if applicable
  • All Well related work if applicable
  • Contaminated soil testing, removal, etc.
  • Removal of the previous structure
  • Survey fees
  • Landscaping
  • Excavation
  • Decks, porches, steps, any and all other structures and or material not included in our standard specifications list
  • Set and Placement of Modules
  • Stitch up and sealing of Modules on site

 

NOTE: We recommend that Owners who do not wish to handle these items hire a General Contractor from the beginning to work with Green Terra Homes and handle all those above items. If any decks or other external structures or landscaping features are included in a drawing/plan, they are ONLY there as a courtesy to show clients the end result they seek for their project but they are not part and parcel of the project by Green Terra Homes as a CSA factory. Green Terra Homes is not involved in any site work, including foundation, basement work and or finishing therein. Anything that is included in the drawings is once again a courtesy and Green Terra Homes is not responsible for said work. All above as mentioned is the responsibility of the owner/builder/purchaser. However Green Terra Homes does offer certain consulting/guidance services including contacting third party service providers, contacting city planning, conservation authorities, etc. You can ask your account representative about the hourly fees associated with these services as needed.
